[Also in Division F1] A telemotor system used for simultaneously changing the swash plate angles of the pump and motor units of an hydrostatic transmission, comprises swash plate adjusting slave cylinder units 32, 34 each movable by a respective master unit 36, 46, the pistons 40, 50 thereof being arranged to move in a predetermined out of phase relationship. Each piston 40, 50 has a rod 78, 79 connected by a respective link 110, 111 to an individual cam plate 112, 114, both rotatable about a pivot 115. The cam plates have differently shaped cam slots 116, (118) in which slide a cam roller 122 carried by a crank 124 rotated by a handle (not shown). Thus, rotation of the handle causes the roller 122 to ride in the slots 116, (118) thereby imparting out of phase rotation to the cam plates and consequential out of phase movement of the pistons 40, 50. As shown, the crank 124 is held in a neutral position by a pawl 128 urged by a spring 129 to engage a detent notch 127. In the neutral position opposite sides of the pistons are in communication through cylinder ports 85 and a chamber 72 surrounding the cylinders 32, 34, whereby springs 33 can move the slave pistons 30, 35 to their neutral positions thus re-phasing the pistons 30, 35, 40, 50. A spring loaded plunger 90 is provided for pressurizing a chamber 84 connected by a non-return valve to the chamber 72. The chamber 84 is filled by withdrawing the plunger 90 to suck hydraulic fluid from a reservoir 68 through a valve (not shown). If fluid in the lines 37, 38, 41, 42 between the slave and master units exceeds a predetermined pressure, due to say expansion, pressure is relieved through a valve 60 to the chamber 84. |
