1,181,851. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. BELL AEROSPACE CORP. May 30, 1967 [June 6, 1966], No.24781/67. Heading G3P. In a duplex servo-control system for high inertia loads, a manual input at 59 causes rotation of floating lever 56 about pivot 62 which, in turn, causes rotation of lever 51 about pivot 52 to move duplex spool 41 to supply tandem servopistons 29, 29<SP>1</SP>. The latter position the load 35 and return the spool to its null position via lever 64, link 61, floating lever 56 and lever 51. The pressure difference across pistons 29, 29<SP>1</SP> is also applied across pistons 102, 102<SP>1</SP> which adjust the position of pivot 52 to counteract the input signal to compensate for the inertia of the load. The pistons 102, 102<SP>1</SP> may, be replaced by bellows. A flat spring 106 biases pistons 102, 102<SP>1</SP> to a central position. |
