PURPOSE:To effect a color matching requiring no skill of an operation and to improve an efficiency by providing spectral reflectivity measuring means of arbitrary positions of a sample and a print, chromaticity calculating means, measuring position reading means, means for obtaining necessary ink adjusting amounts of black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors, and display means. CONSTITUTION:A spectral reflectivity measurement of a measuring point of a proof sheet to become a sample is conducted, converted to L, a, b values, and converted to a combination of halftone percentages of black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors in a color matching apparatus body and a combination of halftone percentages of black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors by a tape for representing relationship between a combination of densities and chromaticity (the L, a, b values) The combination of the halftone percentage and the combination of the densities are substituted for a relation formula of the halftone percentages of the black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors and the densities, and solid densities of the black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors are calculated. Then, spectral reflectivity of a print to be compared is measured, similarly solid density is calculated, and a difference of the solid density is calculated. Ink amount differences of the black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors, i.e., necessary adjusted ink amounts of the black, cyan, magenta and yellow colors are obtained from the difference of the solid density and the solid density of the proof sheet. |
