A memory addressing for recording and extracting teletext data with only a simple circuit construction without using a color video display generator and a circuit for counting a stored amount of teletext data are disclosed. In a teletext system having a taletext data storing device, a digital teletext processor and a micro-processor, the memorey addressing and the data amount counting circuit are constructed of an address generator, a packet counter for providing information about the number of the data packet recorded in the teletext data storing device, a switch, and a select controller for controlling a path selection.
