The color stabilizing circuit for a video record playback apparatus in receiving a teletext prevents a flicker phenomenon and an unstable screen color caused when an electric to electric video signal and a teletext signal are mixed. The circuit includes a decoder for separating a color signal and a color synchronizing signal and for outputting a mode control signal, a first oscillator, a second oscillator, a table of page controller, a selector for selecting an oscillating frequency, an encoder, and a mixing device for selecting alternately the electric to electric video signal and a character information video signal and for mixing.
