Device contains housing to be immersed in liquid containing filter insert provided with kieselguhr-coatable folded filter-cloth. Filter insert consists of suction pipe provided with several liquid orifices on which equidistant sheet lamellae are situated, over which a tubular filter cloth, gathered through rings between the lamellae, is pulled so as to form concertina arrangement and enclose external side of top and bottom lamellae inwards towards suction pipe.
