[Also in Division F2] Drinking valve for poultry or other animals, comprises a body consisting of two axially opposed parts 15, 17 providing an axial flow passage through the body. A chamber in one of the parts houses a valve member 26 cooperating with a seat 27 and having a stem 24 extending out of the valve for actuation by the animal. The body part 17 has a portion receivable in a port 19 of a conduit to which the valve is to be connected. A clamp 28 cooperating with a flange 20 secures the valve to the conduit. As shown, the resilient clamp 28 has hooked ends engaged in a recess 21 in the flange. The valve may be fixed to a drinking bowl 11 and may have an actuating disc 25 on the stem. The body is sealed to the conduit by a gasket 18. In modifications, Figs. 3 to 12 (not shown) (a) two grooves (21', Fig. 3) at different levels are provided so the clamp may encircle conduits of different diameters, (b) the drinking bowl (30, Figs. 4 and 5) is connected by a side connection to a horizontally disposed valve, (c) the valve is arranged in a depending position without the bowl. The recesses are divided into angularly spaced compartments so that by twisting the legs of the clamp and inserting the hooked ends at different angular positions the clamp may be adjusted, and (d) the valves at spaced positions along a conduit are each clamped in depending position to an inverted cup-shaped member (52, Figs. 9 to 12) on a T-piece (55), |
