In break-spinning, where reduced pressure is established inside the rotating spinning-chamber by apertures in the wall of the chamber, to prevent the choking of the apertures by short fibres caught by both ends in adjacent inlets to these apertures on the inside of the chamber, these inlets are so arranged that the distance between adjacent ones is greater than one third of the staple length of the fibres being spun.
