Each of several rolls has a lead in respect of the primary roll so as to produce a fleece or film of dough which is transferred from the last roll onto an offtake belt. This belt is driven at controlled speed in relation to this last roll so that the film arriving on it is corrugated during transfer. For a starch-free product seeds are swollen, heated, steamed, passed through similar rolls and onto a belt moving slower than the rolls to produce a loose, corrugated film for drying without heat. |
