1,197,820. Prefabricated units for buildings. K. E. E. ANDERSSON. 12 June, 1968 [28 June, 1967], No. 28030/68. Heading E1A. A building comprises end walls and a plurality of units connected there-between. Each unit comprises a floor A, side walls B and a roof C (see Fig. 2) each of these consisting of an inner layer of corrugated sheet metal 2, 1 and 4 respectively, the corrugations extending parallel to the side edges of each component, and a rigid outer face 9, 8 and 10 respectively forming the base, the facade and the external roof surface respectively. The space between the inner and outer layers is at least partially filled with insulating material I and the inner layers in at least the side walls and floor are adapted to receive covering panels on their inward facing surface. The floor may have two layers of corrugated sheet metal 2 and 3 fixed back to back. The struts 6, 7 may be of corrugated sheet metal. The inner layer of corrugated sheet metal may consist of individual panels fixed together using beams 16 and bolts 17 (see Fig. 4) the beams serving as support members for the whole structure. Hooks 29 may be formed on the inner surface of the inner corrugated sheet layer on which panels are hung (Fig. 7).
|
