A key 44 passes through the head 37 and is sealed off by a refractory plug 45. Thermal movement is absorbed by springs 39 and coolant may be circulated through the hollow bolt 36 and coaxial pipe 52. A glass layer between the two parts prevents gas escape. Suitable materials are specified for the tweel. |
