[Also in Division C3] A laminate comprises substrate e.g. of aluminium, copper or steel and adhered thereto a cured composition formed from (1) a polymer of ethylene, (2) from 0À1 to 40% of an epoxidized polyolefin, and (3) from 0À1 to 10% of an organic peroxide curing for (1), the per cents of (2) and (3) being based on the weight of (1). The preferred composition, comprises polyethylene, epoxidized polybutadiene, a filler such as titanium dioxide, and di-α-cumyl peroxide or tertiary butyl perbenzoate. The laminate may also contain further layers of aluminium, ethylene polymer composition, wood, fibreboard, cardboard, paper, glass, ceramic or metal. |
