<p>Method of producing pellets from concentrate of e.g. sulphides, oxides, dust etc. comprises incorporation on hydrated chalk and nitrate bonding agent. Hydrated chalk content is pref. about 3.5%. The nitrate may be composed of the following, e.g. Al, NH4, Ca, Cu, Fe, Pb, Mg, Mn, Ni, K, Na, Zn, and may be present up to 0.9%. The actual nitrate content depends on nitrate chosen and conditions of service, e.g. 0.13% Ca(NO3)2 is required to bond pellets for use in reverbatory furnace; 0.15% NH4CO3 addition for blast furnace charge etc.</p> |
