<p>Paper web is passed over a pattern cylinder and coated with glue on the web surface away from the cylinder where the web is raised by means of a pattern plate below. A second web is then joined with the first in a roll gap, the second tensioned at the moment of joining so as later to shrink back and produce a quilted effected in the product. The second web also has fewer fibres per unit interface with the first web, and in the case of covers or mats etc. should be made of polyethylene. Tough product rolls up easily, looks good and has sturdy feel.</p> |
