Composite concrete mouldings contg. prefoamed polystyrene beads are produced by (a) mixing the prefoamed, uncovered, electrostatically discharged and undried polystyrene beads with a diameter of 3 mm with sand in a disc mixer; (b) forming water and pore former to a foam in a pressure flow mixer, (c) adding cement, fine fillers such as quartz flour, and further water to the foam in the pressure flow mixer, to form a cement binder, (d) introducing the cement binder into the mixt. in the running disc mixer, (e) treating for 2-3 mins. in the disc mixer, and (f) pouring the finished concrete mixt. into a mould.
