<p>A basic generator consisting of a d.c. source connected to a first solid electrode and a jet nozzle type second electrode is followed by one or more auxiliary nozzle electrodes, an a.c. supply being so connected that the original plasma carried out of the first jet by a gas stream is superheated. Single and polyphase arrangements are proposed as well as combinations of jets in opposite directions.</p> |
