A process for making drinks contg. CO2, e.g. from flavoured liquids or fruit juices, consists of liquefying the CO2 by pressure below its critical temp. of 32 degrees C, then continuously mixing it with water in a controlled ratio. Pref. the CO2 is liquefied at 50-120 atm., then premixed with water at 1/2-1/10 ratio; then this concd. mixt. is mixed with the liq. to be carbonised. |
