PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of automatically detecting the attribute information of a recording sheet though a user does not input the attribute information of the recording sheet especially, and to provide the recording sheet which makes the image forming device detect the attribute of the recording sheet. SOLUTION: As for this recording sheet 94, attribute marks AM5 and AM6 are formed on an edge surface, and the mark AM5 expresses such plural attributes as the basis weight of the sheet 94 itself and the whiteness by a bar code. The mark AM6 is formed of moisture sensitive coating material and the density expresses the water content of the sheet 94. The image forming device is provided with an attribute detector for detecting the attribute of the recording sheet from the attribute mark previously formed on the recording sheet. A specified equipment provided by the image forming device is controlled based on the attribute information detected by the attribute detector. |
