ANALOG COPY PROTECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog copy protection system that has provision for an analog video signal of a form other than that of a standard NTSC signal. SOLUTION: A video signal of a form other than that of a standard NTSC signal is scrambled (an analog output from a DAC 102) and key information to descramble the scrambled signal or information or the like to authenticate a connection opposite party is prepared. In this analog copy protect system, the scrambled analog video signal and the key information/authentication information or the like are exchanged (unidirecitionally or in two-way) between a sender (source device side 10) and a receiver (sink device side 30) via prescribed terminals (hybrids HY1, 2).
