Heat exchanger with a rotating drive shaft and drive mechanisms such as a centrifugal blower, which is mounted and coupled on the drive shaft and has an inlet for a gaseous medium, where the drum type impeller increases the speed of the incoming gaseous medium and delivers this again at its periphery. A ring of fixed guide blades is fixed concentrically around the blower impeller but at a short distance from this. Each guide blade (4) is a leaf-shaped, thermally conductive element which is so formed and directed that it guides the gaseous medium coming from the blower impeller in given paths at one end of each guide blade. This end is connected with a thermal conductor (5). Electric elements effect a heat flow between the guide blades and the conductor.
