<p>1524472 Non-inflatable tyres GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 13 April 1976 [6 May 1975] 15060/76 Heading B7C A unitary non-inflatable tyre comprises a moulded cellular polyurethane body and, optionally, a preformed tread; the body being of toroidal form and having an external surface extending from one side of a wheel-rim engaging portion to the other and also having a cellular core of essentially the same composition as the external surface but having a density of 10 to 90% less than the external surface. As illustrated the external surface provides the tread. Prior to mounting on the wheel with which it is to be used the tyre has an internal circumference 1 to 4 inches less than the circumference of the wheel rim. Preferred polyurethane mixtures for, and physical characteristics of, the moulded tyre body are disclosed in the Specification.</p> |
