A device on numerically controlled, multi-spindle tools for the simultaneous machining of several equal workpieces, particularly milling machines, has spindles carrying the tools in displaceable spindle sleeves. Opposite the front end of the tools (31), measurement devices (30) such as inductive transmitters, are introduced, which probe the position of the tools and cause the tools to be adjusted into their predetermined position via a positioning gear activated by a regulating circuit. The measurement devices (30) are fitted on a slide (23) introduced between the tool (31) front ends and the workpiece clamping surface. The measurement unit slide (23) is displaceably located on the tool change unit, crossways to the spindles (4) carrying the tools (31).
