发明名称 PREPARATION OF COENZYME Q10 BY FERMENTATION
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain Coenzyme Q10 in a higher yield and purity than in the case of fermentation with the parent strains, by culturing variation strains having no or little carotenoid pigment-producing ability of specific microorganisms having the Coenzyme Q10-producing ability in a nutrient medium. CONSTITUTION:Variation strains, e.g. Rhodopseudomonas spheroides (FERM-P No.4674), which belong to the genus Rhodopseudomonas and have no or little carotenoid pigment-producing ability of specific microorganisms having the Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)-producing ability are cultured in a nutrient medium containing C and N sources, inorganic, and other nutritive substances at a pH of about 5-9 aerobically for 3-7 days. Most of the CoQ10 is accumulated in the bacterium bodies, and isolated by extraction with an organic solvent, etc., according to the conventional method.</p>
