<p>PURPOSE:To enable the production of a subject sheathing material in a uniform thickness, by laying closely spaced sheets in layers on a moving waterproof strip sheet to form a given thickness, by sewing together the strip sheet and the sheet layer, and by sewing together them after covering two transverse edges, being cut to equal size, with a slippery plastic resin made edging material. CONSTITUTION:A plastic resin made waterproof sheet 1 wound around a roll 2 is reeled out at a given speed by means of a winding roll 5 driven from a motor, sheets 6 such as lauan sheets being laid on the sheet 1 such that no space is left between the sheets 6 and some surplus length of the sheet 6 is left in the direction of the width of the sheet 1. Said working is performed in a table 3. The thickness is detected by means of a thickness meter 7 to adjust the thickness to a given value. The sheet 1 and the layer of the sheet 6 are sewn together by means of a sewing device 9, two edges in a transverse direction being cut to equal size by means of a circular saw 10. A edging material 12 is attached by an edging material attaching device 11, the edging material 12 and the sheet layer strip being sewn together by means of an edge sewing device 13. Sheathing material being suitable for an automatic sheathing machine for desired pipe can thus be produced.</p> |
