PURPOSE:To obtain slow-motion and still pictures with no noise band, by obtaining a write inhibition pulse signal from a tape run speed detection signal, the output signal of the 2nd tachometer, and a reproduced picture signal. CONSTITUTION:By tape run speed detection signal 31, the 2nd tachometer signal 32 is counted down to vary the count value for the prediction of the next track crossing part, and frequency-modulated wave FM-RF signal 33 of a video signal is clipped by clipping circuit 41. Next, a counter is reset to an adequate phase by this output signal so as to generate write inhibition signal 35 for a field memory covering sufficiently the track crossing part of a rotary head. Therefore, a signal written before write operation is inhibited remains as it is where a noise band resides. |
