PURPOSE:To secure the stability and quality of recording by constituting the lateral end part of an orifice, an energy actuating part, the lateral end part of an inlet port and a common liquid chamber so that their respective capacities satisfy a fixed relation with each other. CONSTITUTION:A recording head has the lateral end part 103 of an orifice which has an orifice 102 on its tip, an energy acting part 104 and the lateral end part 106 of an inlet port. When a recording signal is inputted in the plural number of energy-acting parts 104-m, etc., liquid drips are discharged from orifices 102 corresponding to each energy acting part respectively. If the capacities of the lateral end part of the orifice, the energy acting part, the lateral end part of the inlet port and the common liquid chamber are expressed as V1, VH, V2 and V3 respectively, while the number of pieces of the energy actuating parts as M, the structure of each part is designed and arranged so that the respective parts satisfy the relations: V1/VH>0.32, V2/V1>0.03 and V3/(VHM)>16. |
