Compositions having high impact strength are achieved by blending polyglutarimide, multiple stage polymer based on butadiene or alkylacrylates, and polycarbonate in a weight ratio such that the polycarbonate comprises about 12 to 25 % of the blend. The polyglutarimide contains imide units of the formula

The multiple stage polymer has a first stage polymerized from a predominantly butadiene or alkyl acrylate monomer system. Preferably the polyglutarimide is 20 to 80 % by weight of the three components. Blending may be for example by melting together or by dry blending.
|
