<p>A process for producing water-repelling calcium silicate molding suited as fire-resistant coating material, fire-resistant thermal insulant, or heat insulation material, which comprises adding an emulsion obtained by emulsifying dimethylpolysiloxane and/or derivative thereof with an anionic surfactant to an aqueous slurry containing calcium silicate hydrate, dehydrating and molding the resulting mixture, and drying optionally after steam curing.</p> |
