Alpha-olefin polymn. catalyst was composed of Ti compd. and Mg halogenated compd. and was a globular grain having the average grain size of 1-100μ, the surface area of 300-500m2/g and the porosity of 0.3-0.4 cm3/g. Its volumetric density was above 0.4g/cm3. When it was used at the std. test for polymn, its flowing time was 12-15 sec. Thus, after a mixt. of anhydrous MgCl2, anhydrous ethanol, ROL and silicon oil gaitated and condensed, they were dried under vacuum and sorted out with screen. Catalyst component contg. 1.95 wt. % Ti and 7.5 wt. % ethyl benzoic acid was obtained from them by the activation method.
