PURPOSE:To discharge ashes while combustion is taken place, by providing a fall chamber for combustion ashes to the lower part of a combustion chamber, and by leading a discharge water to a solidliquid separator, after the water in the fall chamber is stirred up by the discharge water, fed from a submersible pump. CONSTITUTION:Combustion ashes, produced by combustion of solid fuel in a combustion chamber 2, fall down into the water in a chamber 1 where is kept on high water level. Then, a submersible pump 8 is operated by a timer 22, and water and combustion ashes in chambers 1A and 1B are stirred up by discharge water being fed into stirring pipes 12A and 12B, passing through a discharge pipe 11, a flow path selector 17 and a branch pipe 11a. Next, the flow path selector 17 is changed to the side of a branch pipe 11b, water, containing ashes, is fed into a setting bag 13, and is discharged from a discharge pipe 16, after ashes are separated from the water by a filter material 15. During this time, water levels in the above-mentioned chamber 1 and a sealed tank 5 are gradually lowered, and finally, the operation of a submersible pump 8 is stopped by a liquid level detector 10. |
