In a coupling head, in particular for motor vehicles, which serves to connect lines of a towing vehicle to corresponding lines of a trailer and can be coupled to a countercoupling head, a mechanical connection-reversal preventer in the form of a projection (23) is provided which extends from the base body (3) of the coupling head, protruding through a window (25) in the locking body (5) of the coupling head.
