Described are norbornyl diesters defined according to the structure: <IMAGE> wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different, C1-C3 lower alkyl; wherein one of R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 is methyl and the other of R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 is hydrogen; and wherein the dashed line represents a carbon-carbon single bond or a carbon-carbon double bond for use in augmenting or enhancing the aroma of perfume compositions, colognes and perfumed articles including solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents, fabric softener compositions, fabric softener articles, shampoos and other hair preparations as well as perfumed polymers, e.g., perfumed polyethylene.
