PURPOSE:To enhance azimuth detecting accuracy and detecting speed and to expand the detecting range, by providing a table for a light emitting device, which is rotated at a high speed, on a slave unit, and providing a light receiving device, which is rotated at a low speed, on a master unit. CONSTITUTION:A turntable 4 is provided on a base 3 of a master unit 1 so that the turntable 4 is freely rotated. A light receiving device 11 is arranged on the turntable 4. The turntable 4 is rotated at a low angle speed of, e.g., about 2.5 deg./sec. Meanwhile, a light emitting device 13, which is freely rotated, is provided on a base 12 of a slave unit 2. The light emitting device 13 is rotated at a high speed of, e.g., about 3,000rpm, by a driving motor 15 and the like. When the light emitting device 13 faces the light receiving device 11 just against each other, the azimuth of the slave unit 2 with respect to the master unit 1 is detected based on the rotary angle at this time. |
