Detection of the position of movable members in a loop, constituted by a single cable which links several sensors

The invention relates to position detection using a single cable for several sensors. It comprises an electronic circuit 2 associated with the sensor which gives rise to the variation of a unitary impedance in the loop 3 which links all of the sensors. The circuit 1 at the start of the loop detects the correspondence between the orders sent out towards the system and the sum of the return impedances from the system. The most interesting application relates to installations with a large number of sensors or extended distances and control of automatic mechanisms by programmable controllers. <IMAGE>
