MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING SYSTEM OF COMPOSITE VIDEO SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To attain the satisfactory reproduction of a tracking reference signal despite some variance of revolving speed of a magnetic recording medium, by using a signal obtained by giving the low band conversion to a color burst signal as a tracking reference signal and recording the tracking reference signal through three recording areas formed by dividing a full horizontal blanking period. CONSTITUTION:A color burst signal generating circuit BSC samples a continuous wave Ssc of a color subcarrier supplied from a synchronizing oscillator OSC with gate pulses P2-P4 having the prescribed time width and timing and produced from a timing pulse generating circuit. Thus the circuit BSC produces a color burst signal existing at a time position so that it is used also as a tracking reference signal. A frequency converting circuit FCC gives the frequency conversion to said color burst signal to set it at a low band side. Furthermore a recording signal Sr delivered from a record amplifier RA is supplied to a magnetic head H via the fixed and mobile contacts R and V of a record/reproduction changeover switch SWrp and recorded to a magnetic recording medium D.
