PURPOSE:To prevent malcontrols owing to the lock of a gear, in an apparatus which controls the opening of a throttle valve with a motor via a speed reducing mechanism, by restricting a gap between the axis of the output shaft of a motor and the rotational center of a reduction gear not to become less than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When an accelerator 9 is pressed, an accelerator opening detector 8 detects the pressing condition of the accelerator and input it to a control circuit 6. Then, the control circuit 6 drives and controls a stepping motor 5 so as to close and control a throttle valve 2 via a throttle axis 3. And the throttle valve 2 is connected with the output shaft 11 of the motor 5 by a gear 10. In this case, a bracket 17 is provided for an assembly body 1, and a screw 14 is provided for the bracket 17. And when the motor 5 is assembled, an adjusting portion 12b which is provided for the bracket 12 of the motor 5 is pressed by the screw 14, and the screw 14 is fixed by a nut 15 after the screw 14 is adjusted so as to eliminate the dislocation of the motor 5. Thus, a gap between the gear 10 and the output shaft 11 is sufficiently ensured.
