Plates of natural gneiss or quartzite are placed against one another either in a vertical position or in a loose manner on a loading platform or are transported lying in tiers on wooden bases. The intention of the invention is to transport natural plates of stone in a vertical position on a wooden base. An iron construction in a U-shape (1) is fitted laterally to the left and right in each case onto a wooden base (usually of the dimension 120 x 80 cm). These two iron constructions are connected at their ends by two cross struts (2) which can be fitted on.
