PURPOSE:To surely inform the emergency to a viewer by demodulating data relating to an outgoing signal from a reception signal and discriminating whether or not a specific signal is included in the demodulated data so as to send specific information such as occurrence of an emergency in voice. CONSTITUTION:A CATV signal S1 is inputted to an FSK demodulation section 2 and a television signal demodulation section 6, and the demodulation section 2 demodulates outgoing signal data and the demodulation section 6 demodulates a television signal comprising a video signal and an audio signal. The outgoing signal data demodulated by the demodulation section 2 are fed to a microcomputer 3. Then the memory section 3a of the microcomputer 3 stores data relating to a specific signal. A control section 3b allows a discrimination section 3c to discriminate whether or not data relating to the specific signal are included in the demodulated outgoing data based on memory data in the memory section 3a. When the presence of the data relating to the specific signal is confirmed through the discrimination, the control section 3b sends a specific voice signal from a voice generating section 4 to provide a voice signal output from a speaker 5.
