PURPOSE:To obtain the effect that sound is generated as if a musical instrument were played by an information processor by assigning the musical scale which is similar to the keyboard of the musical instrument artificially to respective keys of a character input keyboard and generating sound of the corresponding scale according to the state of scanning lines of the character input keyboard. CONSTITUTION:An information processing mode or keyboard musical instrument mode is selected with a mode changeover switch 3. Then when the information processing mode is selected with the mode changeover switch 3, character information is received from the character input keyboard 1 and various kinds of information processing are carried out. In the keyboard musical instrument mode, the musical scale is assigned to the respective keys and sound which covers, for example, three octaves is outputted. Consequently, the information processor is usable as a keyboard musical instrument without requiring any external extra device. |
