<p>PURPOSE:To conduct the holding of a rotor and the fixing of a substrate and the like without using a sealing resin by fastening the substrate, to which a resistor, a terminal, etc., are mounted, onto the base of a case through insert molding, caulking the edge of the opening section of the case and rotatably holding the rotor. CONSTITUTION:An arcuate resistor 24 is formed onto the surface and a current collecting electrode 26 at the central section of the surface, an insulating substrate 22 to which three terminals 28-30 are fitted is prepared, and the substrate 22 is insert- molded onto the bottom of a case 38, from which one parts of each terminal 28-30 are drawn to the outside and which is composed of an insulating resin and has a circular hole 38a for housing a rotor 34, so that the resistor 24 is directed upward. The circular rotor 34, which consists of the insulating resin and on an underside of which a slider 32 connecting the resistor 24 and the current collecting electrode 26 is set up, is fitted rotatably into the hole 38a of the case 38 while the slider 32 is directed downward. The edge 38b of the opening section of the case 38 is caulked inward by heat and the upper section of the periphery of the projecting section 34a of the rotor 34 is covered with the edge 38b, and the slip-off of the rotor 34 in prevented while ensuring the rotatability of the rotor 34.</p> |
