PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording medium which has high preservation stability of a skin and a recorded image or in which a skin fog due to contact with organic solvent scarcely occurs. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording medium comprises a recording layer containing basic dye and colorant and a protective layer containing adhesive and pigment sequentially provided on a support, wherein the protective layer contains (1) emulsion type silicone defoamer having a volume mean particle size of 0.7mum or less and (2) alkylsulfosuccinic acid surfactant or nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 5-10. |
