PURPOSE:To realise increase in throughput and a high speed of printing by providing a means for forming a loop in a recording medium in an apparatus having an electrophotography recording means and an ink-jet recording means. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper P which is supplied sheet by sheet from a paper feeding cassette 6 is guided into a part between a photosensitive drum 11 and a transfer drum 12 of an electrophotography recording part. The toner image formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum 11 is transferred. Then, the toner image is fixed by means of a fixing device 19. Thereafter, the ink-jet color image is formed on the surface of the paper P by the action of a recording head 25 of an ink-jet recording part, which is arranged at the downstream side of the electrophotography recording part. In this image forming apparatus, a PF roller 22 and a pinch roller 23 are provided at the halfway of a paper conveying path between both recording parts. The rear part of the paper P floats up in a loop shape when the paper P outputted from the fixing device 19 reaches a pair of the rollers 22 and 23. Thus, the stable image formation at the recording head is assured. |
