PURPOSE:To discharge only excessive heat from a machine by arranging a thermoelectric power generating element nearby a high-temperature part, providing a heat discharging means at the peripheral position of a heat fixing device, and operating a heat discharging means with the electric power generated by the thermoelectric power generating element. CONSTITUTION:A heat discharging fan 13 is arranged as the heat discharging means so that the ambient temperature rises at the periphery of a fixation part 9 and its heat is discharged. This heat discharging fan 13 is connected to the thermoelectric power generating element 20 provided at the fixation part 9. Namely, the thermoelectric power generating element 20 is fitted to the end part of a fixation heater 19 and the thermoelectric power generating element 20 generates a voltage with the heat generated by the fixation heater 19. The lead wire 22 of this thermoelectric power generating means 20 is connected to the terminal of the heat discharging fan 13, and the fan rotates with the generated voltage to discharge excessive heat at the periphery of the fixation part from the machine. Consequently, the rotation of the heat discharging fan 13 is controlled according to the ambient temperature of the thermoelectric power generating element 20. |
