A process for producing the inner lining components for vehicles, includes placing two decorative material components, so that their edges overlap, in a mould, after which a hard foam material is fed into the mould. A pattern is placed in one of the mould halves, which has slats which extend into the mould. A first decorative material section is then placed in the mould so that its ends rest on the slats. A second material is then also placed in the mould which overlaps the first.
