The dry-running displacement piston compressor (1) has a drive unit (2) with a crank housing (3) in which at least one crankshaft (4) is rotatably mounted. The crankshaft has ball and roller bearings (11,12), with the drive unit in working connection with a piston-cylinder arrangement (10) of the compressor. The intake air for the inner cooling of the drive unit passes through the crank housing, which is provided with a filter (14).
