Regulating RPM of drive motor(s) of load-excited screening machine - supplying actual oscillating value to regulator and measuring resultant power output of motor(s)

When regulating the speed of at least one drive motor which drives a vibration exciter of a screening machine at at least one swingable part of the machine (1), an actual value characterising the vibration behaviour is measured and supplied to a regulator unit (2) as an input signal. In dependence on a vibration ideal value which depends on material and/or load and is preset on the regulator (2) an output signal of the regulator regulates the speed of at least one drive motor (11, 12). The recorded active efficiency or a value proportional to it is measured by at least one drive motor and, in the event of any alteration in the recorded active efficiency, or a value porportional thereto, a new material and or load dependent ideal vibration value is automatically issued. ADVANTAGE - Improved screening even when handling different materials and with fluctuating material loads on machine.
