<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with the replacement of a battery by backing up a memory element by providing a solar cell and a storage battery. CONSTITUTION:A memory card 1 consists of a memory element part 2, a backup part 3 and a connector part 6. The backup part 3 is constituted of a solar cell 4 and a storage battery [e.g. Ni-Cd (nickel-cadmium) battery] 5 and, since the storage battery 5 is charged by the electricity generated when the solar cell 4 is exposed to the sunlight or the light of an electric lamp at the times of use and non-use, the memory element part 2 can be backed up. By this constitution, the replacement of a battery is made unnecessary and cumbersomeness using the memory card while caring about the life of the battery can be eliminated.</p> |
