<p>PURPOSE:To allow gradation recording of binary input images by subjecting a binary value image data to an M values and subjecting the N value to requantization. CONSTITUTION:This device has a binary/many value converting means 1 which includes a filter having a weight coefft. and converts input binary image data to the M value; 3<=M, a requantizing means 2 which converts the many valued data to the N value; 2<=N<M and a recording means 4 which allows recording of the N value with one picture element. The input binary image data is converted to the M value by the binary/many value converting means 1 and the M value image is subjected to image processing and is converted to the N value by the quantizing means 3. The N value image data is recorded by the recording means 4. Then, the binary input image data is subjected to gradation recording and the good reproduction recording is executed in the case of such binarized data that particularly the input data preserves the density.</p> |
