The invention relates to a disposable sheath capable of ensuring hygiene for all or part of the handset of telephone instruments. It consists of a sheath designed on the basis of papiermâché, plastic or latex, following all the shapes of the handset or only the region corresponding to the microphone and/or to the earpiece. The region of the microphone and/or of the earpiece can be fitted with a filter, and that corresponding to the keypad is transparent and flexible.
