<p>PURPOSE:To improve the data transmission efficiency, to facilitate data format conversion and to enable decoding even when data are reproduced discontinuously. CONSTITUTION:A macro block consists of four small blocks 50, a macro block header length 51 and a macro block header 52. A small block 50 has variable length data 57, a small block header 54 and an intra-data length 56, and whether the data length are to be sent or a data adjustment bit length 58 and adjustment bit data are to be sent or a modification command signal is to be sent is decided based on a quantization coefficient 53. Even when data are reproduced discontinuously, data are decoded through the branching.</p> |
